Progress Updates
December 2025 - Progress Update
Markland and Dixon House:
- Window installation to the accessible apartments have been completed. There are a few apartments where gaining access is proving difficult which has prevented the installation of windows to neighbouring residents’ homes. Windows are now being installed to the common areas while attempting to arrange access to the remaining properties.
- Kitchen and bathroom replacements works are continuing to tenants’ properties, as is the passive fire protection and sprinkler works to all homes.
- External structural works are almost completed with decorative coating due to be installed once the scaffold is removed.
- Following residents’ choices confirmation for the colours of the promenade tile for their private balconies, these can be installed. This will then be followed by the installation of the new balustrades and pigeon netting.
Markland House: The New dry riser as been completed at Markland House provide a service outlet to every floor.
Dixon House: Telcom communication equipment located on the roof of Dixon House is causing a delay to the starting of the roof covering.
Whitstable House: The installation of the first new lift is due to be handed over in early January (followed shortly after by the lift at Markland House)
Frinstead House: It is envisaged works on Frinstead House lifts will start late in summer 2026, this will be after both the lifts have been replaced in Markland House and Whitstable House.
